Keith Williams Private Signing Fees

Grading plus encapsulation in the yellow CGC Signature Series label is built into each of these tiers:

  • Comic signature: $80 per item.
  • Comic remarque: $110 per item, with a Williams remarque plus his signature.
  • Card signature: $60 per item.

On remarques, you can request a subject, but the final choice is the artist's and CGC cannot guarantee requests. Marker color and signature placement are also at the signer's discretion.

How to Submit Comics and Cards to CGC

A FREE membership is enough to send submissions straight to CGC, though paid memberships exist too.

  • Comics: head to the CGC online form, find CGC Signature Series > In-House Private Signing, and pick either 'Keith Williams, Signature' or 'Keith Williams, Remarque'. Choose Authentication & Grading as the service; Pressing is an optional add-on.
  • Cards: fill out the CGC Cards online form (Mail-In or Show Drop-Off), setting Grading as the primary service and selecting the tier 'Keith Williams, Signature'.

Mark the letters KW on every side of the shipping box's exterior. Without them, the submission cannot be honored for this signing.

Rules, Turnaround and Rescheduling

CGC will not accept ungraded books unless they come in window bags. Magazines and custom-label books each need their own separate private signing form.

Books already certified by CGC, Signature Series books included, can be sent in. Cracking one out of its holder costs an additional $5, and the book must be certified again with no guarantee of the same grade.

Charges are taken once the items reach CGC. These fees cannot be offset by membership credits or paid membership discounts, and submissions cannot be combined with other CGC Private Signing events.

Estimated turnaround after signing is six weeks for grading and encapsulation. Comics with CGC pressing take eight weeks, at an additional fee that is not stated.

Should the signing need a new date, CGC will hold everything in its vault until the event takes place. Items ship back after grading and encapsulation.

Who Is Keith Williams

Williams joined Marvel Comics in 1982 as a background inker, trained under Will Eisner, and eventually became an assistant editor on the Spider-Man group of books, working for Jim Owlsley (Christopher Priest).

His credits include Web of Spider-Man, Alpha Flight, The Silver Surfer, She-Hulk, X-Men, Superman, The Mask, Star Wars: Droids, Lady Death and Boglins Trading Cards. He received the 2025 Joe Sinnott Inkwell Hall of Fame Award.

TCGKing's take: the Boglins and Star Wars: Droids credits make this one of the more interesting card-side signings in a while, and a $60 card tier keeps the entry point low.

CGC's Event Calendar

CGC is also taking submissions through partners at other events, such as the FGS Autographs submissions at LA Card Expo.

What is still unknown

  • The date and location of the signing itself.
  • The exact international submission deadline.
  • The extra fee for CGC pressing.
