Union Arena's Umamusume Starter Deck lands December 11 for 1,650 yen
Bandai's Umamusume: Pretty Derby Starter Deck ships Friday December 11, 2026 with a 50-card deck, 3 AP cards, a play sheet, and a Promotion R pack.
Union Arena's Umamusume: Pretty Derby Starter Deck is set for release on Friday December 11, 2026, with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of 1,650 yen (tax included). It is a ready-to-play product built around a 50-card constructed deck and 3 Action Point cards.
A bundled Promotion R pack stands out, because its cards are available only in this Starter Deck.
What is in the box
Each Starter Deck contains one pre-built deck of 50 cards, 3 Action Point cards, 1 play sheet, and 1 Promotion R pack.
The Promotion R pack holds 4 new text cards of rarity R. They come in 2 colors (attributes) different from those of the 50-card deck, and the pack covers 4 text types in total, with 1 of each.
A shiny parallel-design card may also turn up in the Promotion R pack. The product as a whole includes parallel cards.
The paper play sheet carries a character design featuring five Umamusume: Special Week, Grass Wonder, El Condor Pasa, Seiun Sky, and King Halo.
Card makeup
The product has 18 card types in total, plus 1 Action Point (AP) type, plus the Promotion R pack. Because this is a Starter Deck, the same card appears in multiple copies.
Some of the cards are alternate-illustration versions of cards from the booster product "UNION ARENA Umamusume: Pretty Derby [UA59BT]", which is released at the same time.
Product photos may differ slightly from the finished product, and specifications may change.
Why it matters
At 1,650 yen, the deck pairs a complete playable list with the only route to the 4 Promotion R cards, so collectors who already buy boosters have a reason to pick it up as well. Alternate-illustration versions of booster cards add a second reason to look at the deck.
The release also fits a busy stretch for the game. Union Arena Monogatari Vol.2 is scheduled for November 27, 2026 at 385 yen per pack and introduces a green color.
The Umamusume: Pretty Derby brand also has a place on the live-event calendar: BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest 26-27 in TOKYO, set for February 20–21, 2027, includes an Umamusume: Pretty Derby attendance card.
What is still unknown
Availability outside Japan has not been announced yet.
The card names and attributes (colors) in the 50-card deck and in the Promotion R pack are not stated yet, and neither is the parallel card rate in the Promotion R pack.
Because the specifications may change before launch, final contents are worth confirming closer to December 11, 2026.
