Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel RD/KP27 reportedly crowns Zeil, a 3500 ATK Union Fusion
Ten Japanese reveals for Rush Duel's RD/KP27 reportedly build a DARK Warrior deck around Zeil the King of the Hollowed Grounds, summoned from two Union equips.
A new DARK Warrior deck is taking shape for Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel in Japan. Ten cards from RD/KP27, reported through translations of the official Japanese reveals, tell the story of a cursed land and its fallen king, Zeil, and give him a Level 10 body with 3500 ATK.
A king in three pieces
Zeil the King of the Hollowed Grounds is a Union Fusion: instead of a Fusion Spell, its three materials, Doomed by the Blackblight plus two Level 1 Union monsters, are placed face-up from the field on the bottom of the Deck. While Zeil is on the field, your face-up DARK Warriors cannot be destroyed by card effects and deal piercing damage when they attack.
The two Unions double as equipment. The Royal Sword of Zeil turns into an Equip Spell that gives a DARK Warrior 1000 ATK, while The Royal Crown of Zeil adds 500 DEF and stops the equipped monster from being bounced back to the hand, Deck or Extra Deck. Both count as The Legacy of Zeil once they reach the Graveyard.
Getting the pieces together
Most of the remaining cards search or recover those names:
- Worshipper of the Blightblaze mills two cards when it is summoned, then grabs Lena's Mushroom Soup or Doomed by the Blackblight.
- Assassin of the Hollowed Grounds brings back a Level 7 DARK Warrior or Doomed by the Blackblight from the Graveyard.
- Knight of the Hollowed Grounds, a Level 7 with 2500 ATK, returns up to two copies of The Legacy of Zeil to the hand.
- The Crossroads of the Blackblight discards a Level 1 DARK Warrior or Lena's Mushroom Soup to draw two cards.
Lena's Mushroom Soup shrinks a monster by 700 ATK and can Ritual Summon What Little the Blightblaze Leaves Behind, a Level 1 Ritual monster whose continuous effect takes 2000 ATK and DEF from every face-up monster except those with an original DEF of 1000. The Normal Monster Doomed by the Blackblight sets the scene in its flavour text, asking whether the cursed land will find salvation or Armageddon.
What we still don't know
