2026 Bowman Football Sapphire Edition: 100 Veterans, 100 Rookies, 201 Prospects, Mendoza at BCV-101
Bowman Chrome Sapphire football was reportedly released October 29, 2026, with a 100-veteran, 100-rookie and 201-card prospect checklist. Price and odds are unverified.
2026 Bowman Football Sapphire Edition (also called 2026 Bowman Chrome Sapphire) was reportedly released on October 29, 2026, and the checklist is already out. For rookie hunters, the headline names are Fernando Mendoza and Arch Manning, who sit in the NFL rookie and college prospect runs respectively.
Bowman Football's NFL rookies and college prospects get a Sapphire chromium treatment in this release. Topps lists a standalone Sapphire checklist in its checklist directory.
Bowman Chrome Sapphire Football Checklist and Card Numbers
The published checklist has three base groups:
- 100 NFL veterans
- 100 NFL rookies
- A 201-card Chrome Prospect sequence of college players
Key card numbers reported so far:
- NFL rookies: Fernando Mendoza BCV-101, Ty Simpson BCV-102, Carnell Tate BCV-118
- College prospects: Arch Manning BCP-201, Bryce Underwood BCP-200, CJ Carr BCP-110
Sapphire Selections Autographs and Inserts
Veterans, NFL rookies and college prospects each get their own autograph group. Among the rookie autograph subjects are Mendoza, Tate, Jeremiyah Love, Carson Beck and Simpson. College autographs include Manning, Underwood and Carr.
The Sapphire Selections Autographs set splits into an NFL section and an NIL section. Mendoza, Love, Tate, Josh Allen, Drake Maye, Justin Jefferson and Jalen Hurts are in the NFL group. Over on the college side you will find Carr, Bear Bachmeier and Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele.
A quirk worth noting: the code SSA-JH shows up in both the NFL and NIL groups, belonging to Jalen Hurts in one and Josh Hoover in the other. Check the group before you check the code.
Inserts include Hidden Gems (Carr, Underwood, Tate, Simpson, Sagapolutele) and Treasured Talent, split into NFL and college groups. Mendoza, Simpson and Love appear on the NFL side; Carr, Bachmeier and Sagapolutele on the college side.
Sapphire Football Box Contents and Price
Retail listings from third parties point to eight packs per box, each holding four cards with one autograph in the box, for 32 cards total. Since the official checklist says nothing about pack configuration, autograph guarantees or odds, treat that layout as provisional.
Because Topps' final sales listing was not yet available, no verified box price is given.
TCGKing's take: with a checklist this heavy on autographs and an unconfirmed box layout, wait for confirmed odds before judging how often Mendoza or Manning autographs actually land.
The release lands alongside other college-focused Topps products, including the reportedly revived Bowman U Signature, which has Manning among its teased signers.
What is still unknown
- Official box configuration and autograph guarantee
- Official price
- Insertion rates and the colored Sapphire parallel ladder for the 2026 football release
