Anyone can walk up and play at Champions League 2027 Chiba, the Japanese Pokémon TCG event: the 3on3 Battle and the 3-Win Challenge need no advance registration. Both run only on Monday November 23, 2026 (national holiday), 10:00–19:30, with registration expected to close at 18:00.

Times may shift depending on conditions on the day. Entry is by picking up a Prize Point Sheet at the corner entrance, in an Open League with no age limit.

Champions League 2027 Chiba Side Event Rules

Both events use the Standard Regulation, with a 60-card deck and 6 Prize cards.

  • 3on3 Battle: teams of 3 play single battles against other teams, and the team with more wins takes the match. The winning team stays on the field, and the challenge ends after 3 consecutive wins.
  • 3-Win Challenge: each match is a single game, first to win 1. The winner stays on and the challenge ends after 3 consecutive wins.

Neither event has a time limit per match. Players may queue again for further challenges within event hours.

In the 3on3 Battle, a team starts once 3 players are assembled, and teams may be formed by lottery depending on conditions on the day. If the number of winning players is equal (including draws), the team whose leader won is the winner.

Prize Points, 3-Win Sticker and Basic Energy Promo

Participation earns 1 point, capped at 1 point per day across both events combined, plus 1 victory point per win.

Wins are recorded by signature. In the 3on3 Battle, get the opposing team's leader to sign the sheet after a team win. In the 3-Win Challenge, get your opponent's signature. Each signature counts as 1 victory point. [F11b]

A 3-win commemorative sticker goes to a team (1 sticker) or a player who wins 3 in a row. Supplies are limited and prizes may change without notice.

At the prize exchange counter, 1 point gets a promo Basic Energy card (1 random of 8 types) plus a sticker (1 random of 10 types).

Exchange Rules and Hours

  • Exchange hours are 12:00–20:00 (planned) on the day.
  • A smartphone registered as a friend of the official event information and venue guide LINE account is needed; staff can help those without one.
  • Exchange is once per person per day, up to 4 points. Points from several sheets can be combined up to that cap.
  • Points earned after exchanging cannot be exchanged again that day.

TCGKing's take: the 4-point daily cap and the one-exchange rule mean you should finish your games before heading to the counter, because late wins are simply lost for exchange purposes.

Pokémon HOME Medals and Charger Rental

Pokémon HOME participation medals are collected at checkpoints in the venue on Sunday November 22 and Monday November 23, 7:30–21:00 (planned) each day. Entry reception is expected to end around 18:00.

There are 3 types of medal. Each type can be issued once per day, giving 2 of the same medal, and all three can be collected in one day. You need the smartphone Pokémon HOME app linked to a Nintendo Account, and some devices may not support the feature.

Paid mobile battery charge spots will be set up in the venue with INFORICH Inc. A separate fee and a dedicated app or smartphone payment app are required. Rental runs November 22 and 23, 7:30–21:00 (planned), and returns are also accepted at battery stands outside the venue.

Where This Fits

The event sits on the Japanese path to Worlds, which TCGKing covered in its WCS 2027 qualification report: the route runs through Champions League, PJCS2027 and City League Season 4.

What is still unknown

  • The venue and address are not given in the announcement.
