The Pokémon Card Game MEGA line is getting a Special Deck Set with three ready-to-play 60-card decks: Mega Feraligatr, Mega Dragonite and Mega Gengar. It releases Friday, November 13, 2026 in Japan at a suggested retail price of 5,500 yen, tax included (about $34.81).
What is in the box
The product is titled Pokémon Card Game MEGA Special Deck Set MEGA: Mega Feraligatr, Mega Dragonite, Mega Gengar. An English-language report renders it as the MEGA Special Deck Set ex Mega Feraligatr, Mega Dragonite, Mega Gengar. Each of the three decks holds multiple copies of the same card, and each includes 2 copies of its Mega Evolution card, shown as foil in the official decklists.
The accessories are 3 paper deck cases, 3 Pokémon coins, 1 paper damage counter case, 1 playmat, 1 how-to-play manual, 3 player's guides and 1 card storage box. The official listing counts 1 sheet of damage counters, while an English-language report counts 2, so the exact number is unresolved.
The set is pitched at people starting the game. The player's guides explain how to play and how to use each deck. Some of the cards in the set were released or distributed previously.
The three decks
Mega Feraligatr. The deck is built around Mega Feraligatr ex, Croconaw, Totodile, Beartic, Mantine and the Supporter Waitress. One foil Totodile and one foil Croconaw are included. Mega Feraligatr ex's attack Killer Crunch deals a total of 400 damage if the opponent's Active Pokémon has damage counters on it. The deck runs 18 Basic Water Energy.
Beartic's Ice Shot deals 20 damage to the Active Pokémon and each Benched Pokémon. Mantine's Call for Family puts up to 2 Basic Pokémon from the deck onto the Bench. Waitress lets the player look at the top 6 cards of the deck and attach 1 Basic Energy from among them to a Pokémon.
Mega Dragonite. The deck pairs Mega Dragonite ex with Dragonair, Dratini, Teal Mask Ogerpon and the Supporter May's Encouragement. One foil Dratini and one foil Dragonair are included. Mega Dragonite ex has the once-per-turn Ability Sky Carry, which swaps the Active Pokémon with a Benched Pokémon. Its attack Ryuno Glide discards 2 Energy to deal 330 damage. The deck runs 6 Basic Water Energy and 12 Basic Lightning Energy.
Dragonair's Ability, Guidance of Evolution, works once per turn if it has Energy attached and searches the deck for 1 Evolution Pokémon to add to the hand. May's Encouragement can be played when the player has more Prize cards remaining than the opponent. It attaches up to 2 Basic Energy from the discard pile to 1 of the player's Stage 2 Pokémon.
Mega Gengar. The deck centers on Mega Gengar ex, Haunter, Gastly, Sableye, Seviper and the Supporter Dawn. One foil Gastly and one foil Haunter are included. Mega Gengar ex's Ability, Shadow Hide, makes the opponent take 1 fewer Prize card when the player's Darkness Pokémon is Knocked Out by damage from an opponent's Pokémon attack. Its attack Void Gale deals 230 damage for 2 Darkness Energy and can move 1 Energy from itself to a Benched Pokémon. The deck runs 18 Basic Darkness Energy.
Seviper's Excite Power adds +120 damage to its attacks when a Darkness-type Mega Evolution Pokémon is in play. With Mega Gengar out, Obsidian Fang deals 240 damage. Sableye's Angry Claw deals 90 damage if the player has a Darkness-type Stage 2 Pokémon on the Bench. Dawn searches the deck for 1 Basic Pokémon, 1 Stage 1 Pokémon and 1 Stage 2 Pokémon and adds them to the hand.
Shared Trainers
All three decks share Hyper Ball, Boss's Orders and Lillie's Determination, which shuffles the hand into the deck and draws 6 cards, or 8 if the player has 6 Prize cards left. Each deck also carries 4 Poké Pad, 4 Guy and 1 Judge-type card. The Mega Feraligatr list adds 2 Rare Candy-type cards and 2 Switch-type cards. The Mega Gengar list adds 2 Air Balloon-type cards. The Mega Dragonite list adds 2 Poké Gear 3.0.
