Riftbound Radiance launches October 23 with a rarer Ultimate Rare

Riftbound: Radiance releases on October 23, 2026 in English, French, and Chinese.

The main chase of the set is Riftbound's second Ultimate Rare, billed as the rarest one so far and far tougher to pull than the Unleashed Baron. It is also the game's first showcase Battlefield.

Dates and events

Previews ran September 25 – October 9, 2026. Sign-up for the Merch Store Drawing ran September 25 – 30, 2026, and drawing selection began October 5, 2026 at approximately 9:00 AM Pacific Time.

Pre-Rifts take place October 16 – 22, 2026. Pre-Rift event sign-ups at local game stores get a Heimerdinger, Academy Instructor promo while supplies last.

Summoner Skirmish 1 events begin November 9, 2026, and Summoner Skirmish 2 events begin December 14, 2026. Champions also receive a Skirmish Playmat.

New mechanics

Radiance adds three mechanics. Gear that can only be played to a Battlefield gets Deploy, and it is killed if an opponent holds that Battlefield. With Show Off, you can reveal a qualifying card from your hand or board and unlock a new effect. Disarm reduces an enemy Unit's Might as you attack, works similarly to Assault, and grows stronger with each instance.

Orianna's Legend effect lets Equipment turn into Units, and any Equipment that does so is automatically unequipped. The Patched Porobot in Vendetta was the first appearance of Gear Units.

Bomb is a new token, and the more bombs played, the bigger the effect.

Pack structure and rarity

A booster pack breaks down as follows: 7 Commons, 3 Uncommons, 1 Foil slot (Common, Uncommon, Rare, or Epic), 1 Rare or Epic, and 1 slot that can be Rare, Epic, Alt Art, Special Alt, Overnumber, or Ultimate Rare. The pack also includes 1 Token, Rune, or Alt Art Rune, plus 1 informational insert.

No pack can contain more than one Ultimate Rare, and no pack, box, or case is guaranteed to contain one. Averaged over the whole print run, roughly 0.025% of booster packs hold an Ultimate Rare.

K/DA-themed cards are among the Special Alt Art cards, which show up at about the same rate as Alt Art cards. Overnumbered variants exist for the nine new Legends, with signed versions by the artist also available, and a Heartsteel Overnumbers group is part of the set. Musically inspired Alt Art Runes also feature.

Products

The Booster Display box art puts Ekko and Seraphine at center, with Ziggs and Jarvan in supporting roles.

Showdown Decks pit Seraphine against Evelynn. The Seraphine deck has the Legend Starry-Eyed Songstress, 6 Mind and 6 Order Runes, and Mech // Recruit and Bird // Buff tokens. The Evelynn deck has the Legend Agony's Embrace, 6 Body and 6 Chaos Runes, and 5 Gold // Bomb tokens.

A storage box, six Radiance booster packs, foil tokens, and a set of 36 Runes make up the returning Vault. Each Pre-Rift Kit has five Radiance boosters along with a seeded Pre-Rift pack for each of the nine new Legends.

The updated Nexus Night promo packs feature Radiance cards such as Banner of Conquest, War Scout, Hush, High Note, Satchel Charge, and Explosimian, and Lulu, Whimsical is the chase card.

Radiance arrives alongside other Riftbound news, including the K/DA Couture bundle draw.
