Rush Duel players have a lottery to enter and a Secret Rare to chase: the Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel Galaxy Cup 2026 [Team Battle] Aichi Qualifier is set for Sunday December 27, 2026 at Nagoya Convention Hall, and Konami has published the registration window, prizes and rules.

Only 96 teams (288 players) get in, so the lottery is the real first round.

Rush Duel Galaxy Cup Aichi Qualifier Registration & Lottery

Entry is by advance application and lottery through the free official support app 'Yu-Gi-Oh! Neuron'.

  • Applications: Friday November 6, 2026 12:00 to Monday November 23, 2026 (national holiday) 23:59
  • Lottery results: Wednesday December 2, 2026

Teams may apply to several qualifier venues, and also to the Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG Japan Championship 2026 [Team Battle] Aichi Qualifier on Saturday December 26.

There is a catch for double-entrants: a team that earns a finals berth at the OCG event on December 26 cannot play the Rush Duel qualifier on December 27. The organizers cancel that entry with no penalty.

The same format is also running elsewhere: the Fukuoka qualifier is set for January 17, 2027.

Galaxy Cup Prizes: Dark Knight Gaia Secret Rare SPECIAL RED Ver.

  • Top 3 teams: a finals qualification plus 'Dark Knight Gaia' in Secret Rare SPECIAL RED Ver.
  • Top 6 teams: 'Dark Knight Gaia' in Secret Rare SPECIAL RED Ver.
  • Teams reaching the final round: a special protector sleeve set (70 sleeves)
  • Participation prize: 'Gladiness, Standard-Bearer of Victory' in Normal Parallel

The finals date and venue are not announced yet.

Rush Duel Team Battle Format & Schedule

The event is a 3-player team format with 45-minute matches. Swiss rounds run up to a maximum of 6 in double-elimination style, so a team is out at 2 losses.

  • Doors and check-in: 9:00; check-in closes 10:00
  • Rules explanation and opening: 10:15; matches start 10:30
  • Awards and closing: 19:00

Players cannot leave voluntarily during Swiss rounds, and times may shift with attendance and progress.

Round 1 pairings appear on Yu-Gi-Oh! Neuron after check-in closes. Bringing your own duel field is prohibited.

The winner reports results in the app after both players check the screen. Reports cannot be edited and are due 5 minutes after the time limit, or both players lose.

TCGKing's take: that reporting rule is the one to drill with your teammates, because a forgotten report costs both sides the match.

Side Event and Merchandise Sales

A side event, open only to qualifier participants, is an 8-player Swiss over 3 rounds. Duels last 20 minutes; if undecided, life-point difference decides and ties go to rock-paper-scissors. There are no deck changes between matches and no opponent selection.

The winner gets a special rubber duel field while supplies last, and a participation prize is given.

Merchandise sales run 10:00 to 17:00 and are only for winning lottery entrants. Access is via a merchandise ticket on Yu-Gi-Oh! Neuron, distributed after team check-in, plus a wristband, with one visit per person.

The purchase bonus: one special protector pack (2 designs, 10 sleeves, blind) per 1,000 yen (about $6.30) spent on Rush Duel products, tax included, up to 10 packs at 10,000 yen (about $63). Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG products are excluded.

The partner is Toreka Champion, Sansei Corporation Co., Ltd. The product list is confirmed on site on December 27.
