Weiß Schwarz Metaphor: ReFantazio Trial Deck: 50 cards, 2 shiny each
Bushiroad's English catalog lists a Neo-Standard Trial Deck with a playmat and two guaranteed shiny cards per deck, sold in the US, UK, and much of Europe. No date or price yet.
Weiß Schwarz Trial Deck Metaphor: ReFantazio has appeared in the official English Weiß Schwarz catalog. Each 50-card deck guarantees 2 shiny cards, and the product is sold in a long list of territories that includes the United States, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.
No release date and no price have been announced.
What is in each deck
A deck holds 50 cards. It also includes a Rules Sheet, a Playmat, and a Deck Manual.
Parallel cards are sealed into the decks at random. Every deck is guaranteed to contain 2 cards from the following two groups: [TDP] shiny cards with special foiling, which come in 20 types, and [TDSP] rare cards with a hot-stamp autograph, which come in 3 types.
The listing does not say how the two guaranteed cards split between TDP and TDSP, so how often an autograph card turns up is unknown. Apart from the parallel cards, the contents of every deck are exactly the same.
Packaging and age rating
A display holds 4 decks, and a carton holds 8 displays. The product is intended for players aged 13 and above.
Where it will be sold
This is an international release, not a Japan-only product. The listed territories are Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, India, Australia, New Zealand, the United States of America, Canada, Mexico, and Chile.
In Europe, the list covers the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Hungary, Finland, Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Norway, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Malta, Croatia, and Estonia. Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait are also listed. The product is sold only in these territories.
Format and legality
The deck is Neo-Standard. Its cards can be played together with cards whose card numbers begin with "MRF/".
Where it fits in the Metaphor: ReFantazio line
The Trial Deck is not the only Metaphor: ReFantazio product in the English catalog. TCGKing has also covered a Weiß Schwarz ReFantazio Supply Set, which lists a deck case, 60 sleeves, 5 booster packs, and a Special PR Pack, also without a date or price.
Bushiroad's Tales of SERIES trial deck follows a similar pattern: a Neo-Standard Trial Deck with 50-card decks and a playmat, also announced without a price or date.
The Metaphor: ReFantazio deck cannot yet be placed on TCGKing's release calendar for the game. The dated entries are Girls & Panzer on October 30, 2026, Yumegendai Mu-Type on November 13, 2026, Forbidden Door on January 15, 2027, and Nanoha EXCEEDS on January 29, 2027.
What is still unknown
The release date is not announced. Neither is the price per deck, display, or carton. The card list and card names are also unannounced, and so is the split between TDP and TDSP cards in the two guaranteed cards per deck.
What it means for players

- Every deck has 2 shiny cards. Those come from 20 TDP types or 3 TDSP autograph types, and the exact split is not stated.
- The product is Neo-Standard, and its cards can be used together with cards whose card numbers begin with "MRF/".
- Before planning a purchase, wait for a release date and pricing, neither of which has been announced.
