Weiß Schwarz Tales of SERIES Trial Deck packs 10 titles
Bushiroad's 30th Anniversary Trial Deck brings Tales of SERIES into Weiß Schwarz with 50-card decks, a playmat, and Neo-Standard legality. No price or date yet.
Tales of SERIES is joining Weiß Schwarz through a dedicated Trial Deck. The product is listed in the official English Weiß Schwarz catalog and draws on 10 titles from the franchise, released to mark its 30th Anniversary.
The catalog entry gives no release date and no price, so both are not announced yet.
What is in the deck
The Trial Deck is built from characters across each of the featured Tales of SERIES titles. Each deck holds 50 cards.
Every deck comes with a Rules Sheet, a Playmat, and a Deck Manual. Apart from parallel cards, the contents of every deck are identical.
The product is aimed at two groups: people who have never played a card game and dedicated Tales of SERIES fans. It is intended for players aged 13 and above.
Packaging and format
Decks are sold four to a display, and eight displays make up a carton.
The product is listed under the Neo-Standard format. Its cards can be played alongside cards whose card number begins with "TAL/".
Where it will be sold
The listing states that the product is sold only in the following territories: Worldwide. The catalog is the English-language one, but the listing does not say which languages the product will be released in.
Where it fits in the Weiß Schwarz calendar
Tales of SERIES is a new franchise for the game. Girls & Panzer arrives on October 30, and Yumegendai Mu-Type follows on November 13. Two more boosters land in January 2027: Forbidden Door on January 15 and Nanoha EXCEEDS on January 29, 2027. This Trial Deck has no date on that list yet.
What is still unknown
Several basics are missing from the listing:
- The release date.
- The price.
- The names of the 10 featured Tales of SERIES titles.
- Individual card names and the deck's card list.
- The languages the product ships in.
What it means for players
- Newcomers get a self-contained product: 50 cards, a Rules Sheet, a Playmat, and a Deck Manual in each deck.
- Anyone planning to build around the new cards should note the Neo-Standard listing and the TAL/ card number prefix.
- Because the territory listing reads Worldwide, the product is not described as Japan-only. Check for a language and release-date announcement before planning around a specific market.
- The contents of every deck are the same, parallel cards aside, whichever deck is opened.
