Cardfight!! Vanguard Veil Lift Anime Set for 2027 as Bushiroad Maps Out Winter
Bushiroad's autumn presentation confirmed three Japanese Vanguard releases through December 18, a Ghost Meets Gal! season 2, and a 15th anniversary anime for 2027.
Bushiroad used its autumn presentation to confirm the next two months of Cardfight!! Vanguard in Japan, and to tease what comes after: Cardfight!! Vanguard Veil Lift, a new anime for the series' 15th anniversary, starts broadcasting in 2027. The presentation was held on October 28, 2026.
Three products now have dates, so the winter calendar is set.
Vanguard Release Dates: November 6 to December 18
- November 6: Lyrical Booster "Lyrical Monasterio: Legendary Idol!"
- December 4: Special Series "Random Master Deck: 26 Leaders"
- December 18: Special Series "Triple Drive Booster: D Climax"
Lyrical Monasterio and the Ghost Meets Gal! Cards
Lyrical Monasterio carries cards from the mini anime Ghost Meets Gal! in LSR (Lyrical Secret Rare) and SSR (Super Special Rare) rarities.
The LSR has a newly drawn illustration by original author Kaeru DX. The SSR is foil-stamped with the signatures of the anime cast.
A second season of Ghost Meets Gal! has also been greenlit, with comments from Kaeru DX and director Kenshiro Morii. Its date is not announced yet.
Random Master Deck: 26 Leaders and Triple Drive Booster: D Climax
Random Master Deck: 26 Leaders contains 26 types of ready-to-play decks. It is the product TCGKing covered earlier as VG-DZ-SS22, listed at 1,650 yen (about $10.45).
A rare-rate insert, "Elementaria Sanctitude", gets anime character design and a background built from Divinez scene stills.
Triple Drive Booster: D Climax is the follow-up. It holds one new card for each of the 26 decks, so every deck gets an upgrade, and some illustrations are already revealed.
It also includes SIR (Special Illustration Rare) cards, with Critical Trigger cards receiving new art. More special-illustration cards are planned, with details to follow.
TCGKing's take: releasing the decks and their upgrade pack two weeks apart is a tidy way to keep new players from stalling on a starter deck.
Divinez Anime, Events and the Veil Lift Teaser
The TV anime Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez Fate Star War Arc (3 episodes) starts on Saturday, November 7. It airs at 8:00 a.m. on TV Aichi and the 6-station TV Tokyo network, and at 23:30 on BS Nippon TV.
Streaming is on ABEMA, d Anime Store, DMM TV, Prime Video, U-NEXT, Niconico and other services.
Veil Lift has character concepts and an original story by Vanguard creator Akira Ito, with animation by Kinema Citrus, the studio behind Divinez.
A teaser PV went out during the stream and on the YouTube Vanguard Channel. It showed words describing the show's world, concept art, and details of an anime production announcement event.
On the event side, the Vanguard Championship Deluxe 2026 gets live viewings at 8 card shops across Japan. The Shinshun Vanga Festival returns in 2027, with a "mini" edition in 12 locations worldwide.
