Draftsim Ranks Eight MTG Star Trek Spacecraft for Commander Impact
Draftsim has reportedly ranked eight Spacecraft from the Magic: The Gathering Star Trek main set and Commander products by likely Commander impact. Deep Space 9 sits at #1 and Queen's Diamond at #2, followed by U.S.S. Farragut, Bold Explorer, Borg Cube and Type-03 Borg Vessel. The list ends with U.S.S. Discovery, U.S.S. Reliant and U.S.S. Voyager, and the author calls the ranking arbitrary and says more Spacecraft are coming in Star Trek than the eight listed.
According to the article, Deep Space 9 gives up to four permanent cards from the top of the library when it comes down and again after a turn cycle. It does not become a creature, and stationing it gives the board +3/+3.
Queen's Diamond is a colorless mana rock. Tapping creatures puts charge counters on it, and the article says it can produce roughly six or more mana.
U.S.S. Farragut, Bold Explorer has a landfall ability: when a land enters under your control, a creature from your hand is put into play for the turn with haste. At end of turn that creature goes to the bottom of the library and you draw a card.
Borg Cube has affinity for artifact creatures and costs seven mana before reductions. It exiles something on its first trigger and returns it under your control on the second. It also gives flying to your artifact creatures.
Type-03 Borg Vessel costs four mana and makes artifacts cost 1 less to cast. Once fully stationed, it creates a 1/1 colorless artifact Borg creature token whenever you cast a spell.
U.S.S. Discovery, at Black Alert, triggers when it enters or attacks and lets you discover 5. U.S.S. Reliant, From Hell's Heart, returns a creature with mana value 4 or less whenever it enters or attacks, and it must become a creature in order to attack.
U.S.S. Voyager, Lone Wanderer, is an uncommon that requires tapping creatures with eight total power. It is a 3/3 with flying and vigilance for four mana, and its enter-the-battlefield ability gets you two lands.
