Yu-Gi-Oh! IMPH reportedly adds Invincible Rocket Warrior and Insect Queen
Two cards reported for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game set IMPH, IMPH-JP017 and IMPH-JP036, are part of the "Dark Time Wizard" support: a Level 4 Warrior and a Level 8 Fusion Insect. Their texts come from community sources only.
Community sources report that two cards have been revealed for the Japanese Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game set IMPH: IMPH-JP017 Invincible Rocket Warrior and IMPH-JP036 The Legendary Insect Queen. Both are said to be part of the "Dark Time Wizard" support. None of the sources is an official publisher one, so everything below is reported, not confirmed.
Invincible Rocket Warrior
IMPH-JP017 (Muteki no Rocket Senshi) is reportedly a Level 4 LIGHT Warrior Effect Monster, with ATK 1500 and DEF 1300.
Its first effect reportedly lets you send 1 Spell/Trap that mentions "Dark Time Wizard" from your Deck to the GY, which Special Summons the card from your hand. You can then make 1 monster your opponent controls lose 1500 ATK. The cost is that, for the rest of that turn, you cannot Special Summon from the Extra Deck, except Fusion Monsters.
The card reportedly cannot be destroyed by card effects. When it declares an attack, you can add 1 Level 4 Warrior monster from your Deck to your hand. The first and third effects can each be used only once per turn.
The name reportedly refers to "Invincible Mode", the name given to Rocket Warrior's Rocket form.
The Legendary Insect Queen
IMPH-JP036 (Mabaroshi no Insect Queen) is reportedly a Level 8 EARTH Insect Fusion Effect Monster, with ATK 2600 and DEF 2400.
The Fusion Materials are reportedly 2 monsters that mention "Dark Time Wizard", and/or Level 1 EARTH Tokens. The card must be Fusion Summoned, or Special Summoned from the Extra Deck by Tributing those monsters. Whichever method is used, it can only be Special Summoned this way once per turn.
If it is Special Summoned, you can add up to 2 cards that mention "Dark Time Wizard" from your GY and/or banishment to your hand. Your opponent also cannot target your other cards that mention "Dark Time Wizard" with card effects.
The name reportedly comes from Grandpa calling Insect Queen "That Legendary Rare Card".
Context
These cards follow other reported IMPH reveals. Earlier coverage includes Number 96 Black Marionetter and Chaos Barian's Change and two Atlantis cards that become Umi.
What is still unknown
The IMPH release date is not announced yet, and neither are prices, product formats or the rarities of these two cards. Konami has not confirmed the reveal in the sources.
What it means for players
- Rocket Warrior can enter from the hand by sending a "Dark Time Wizard" Spell/Trap from the Deck. If you use its ATK-lowering option, only Fusion Monsters can come from the Extra Deck that turn.
- Insect Queen accepts Level 1 EARTH Tokens as materials and can recover up to 2 "Dark Time Wizard" cards.
- Treat these texts as reported until Konami confirms them.
