The 2012 rare Sphinx of the Chimes has reportedly spiked after Reality Fracture's Sphinx's Approach created a new combo that can draw the whole deck. On TCGPlayer, the foil went from $0.27 to $7.43, while the non-foil went from under $0.10 to $0.60 or more. Sphinx's Approach, an instant costing 1 generic mana and 2 Blue that draws two cards, allows any number of copies with the same name in a deck. Casting it while exiling four copies of Sphinx's Approach from the graveyard lets the player put a Sphinx creature from their deck into play. In Commander, where cards are normally limited to one copy each, Sphinx's Approach is an exception and allows putting Sphinx of the Chimes into play for free. Sphinx of the Chimes' ability lets a player discard two cards with the same name to draw four cards, which with many copies of Sphinx's Approach draws the whole deck. The combo finishes with Thassa's Oracle, which wins the game on the spot when few or no cards remain in the library. Laboratory Maniac, a Blue 3-mana 2/2 creature that wins the game if its controller draws from an empty deck, is an alternative win condition.
