Union Arena UNION RARE STRUGGLE BATTLE 22nd Season Runs Dec 08 to Feb 07
The 22nd Season of the Swiss-draw event hands Best 4 a title-specific UNION RARE card and the winner a "WINNERver." version, across four titles.
The UNION RARE STRUGGLE BATTLE 22nd Season for Union Arena is the only place to win its "UNION RARE" card, and the Asia (English) page sets the event period at December 08, 2026 – February 07, 2027.
The Japan page gives a different window: Tuesday December 1, 2026 – Sunday January 31, 2027. The reason for the mismatch is not given in the announcement.
Union Arena UNION RARE STRUGGLE BATTLE Format & Titles
The tournament is a Swiss draw played under the ONE BATTLE RULE, and only the title designated for that tournament may be used.
Four titles are eligible, and each host store offers one of them:
- Steins;Gate
- Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-
Series - D.Gray-man
Player counts also differ by page. The Asia page says events have 16 players, while the Japan page says 16 or 32, with top-finisher prizes awarded per 16-player unit.
UNION RARE Prizes & Promotion Cards
- Winner: a specially designed UNION RARE card, "WINNERver."
- Best 4: the UNION RARE card of the title used in the battle.
- Every participant: a Promotion Card of the title used.
Per the Asia page, Promotion Card quantities are limited, first come first served. The participation prize is still given if only one person enters and the event cannot be held.
TCGKing's take: a guaranteed participation card makes this an easy event for collectors who want a title's promo, but the UNION RARE itself is a top-four prize, so it takes real wins.
Registration via BANDAI TCG+ and Asia Listings
Registration in advance is required through the BANDAI TCG+ app, which also handles check-in and result recording. The Game Title in the app must be set to UNION ARENA for event information to appear.
The Asia page lists the event for Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines, and for Thailand (Stores and Large Venue), in all four titles.
