Yu-Gi-Oh! RD/LP02 Reportedly Adds Alternate Art for Card Trooper and More
According to reports, RD/LP02 hands alternate artwork to Card Trooper, two "Defiant Soul" monsters and four Planetairy-related cards, with Evil HERO support arriving alongside them. No release date, price or rarity is given, and no official publisher source backs any of it yet.
RD/LP02 Alternate Artworks: Card Trooper, Souffraes and Gaigust
Three of the alternate artworks come with card codes:
- RD/LP02-JP060 Card Trooper
- RD/KPP02-JP063 Souffraes the Defiant Soul, which the source writes with an RD/KPP02 prefix instead of RD/LP02
- RD/LP02-JP064 Gaigust the Defiant Soul
The source says the new art is based on how the characters looked before they died and became immortal cowboys.
TCGKing's take: handle the Souffraes prefix with caution. It is listed exactly as written, and nothing in the report explains whether it is a typo or points to a different product.
Planetairy and Cosmostar Alternative Artworks
Four more cards reportedly get alternative artwork: Uranulycoris the Planetairy, Yewearth the Planetairy, Cosmostar the White Hole Polairy and Mercissus the Planetairy. Their card codes are not given.
RD/LP02 Evil HERO Support: Malicious Edge, Malicious Devil, Dark Calling
Evil HERO Malicious Edge (RD/LP02-JP021) is a Level 7 EARTH Fiend Effect Monster with ATK 2600 and DEF 1800. When the opponent controls a monster, you can Tribute Summon it in Attack Position by Tributing 1 monster. Its attacks also pierce.
Evil HERO Malicious Devil (RD/LP02-JP024, also written Malicious Fiend) is a Level 8 DARK Fiend Fusion Effect Monster with ATK 3500 and DEF 2100.
Its Fusion Materials are Malicious Edge plus 1 Level 6 or higher Fiend monster. Only the effects of "Dark Fusion" and "Super Polymerization" can Special Summon it. In the opponent's Battle Phase, their monsters that are able to attack must attack.
Dark Calling (RD/LP02-JP025) is a Normal Spell that can be activated only once per turn. It Fusion Summons a monster mentioning "Dark Fusion", using monsters from the hand and Graveyard as material and placing them on the bottom of the Deck in any order. The summon counts as made by the effect of "Dark Fusion".
