TCG briefs for October 21, 2026

The 2027 Puebla Regional Championships will reportedly be streamed in Latin American Spanish on Saturday and Sunday, October 24–25, 2026. According to PokemonBlog, which credits The Pokémon Company and Play! Pokémon, it is the first time a Latin American Regional Championships event gets a broadcast produced in the region's own Spanish.

It follows an announcement reported by the fan site Bulbagarden: starting with the 2027 season, Pokémon plans live, localised broadcasts of its Mexican and Brazilian Regionals on its own channels. TCGKing has not found a dedicated official page for the Puebla broadcast yet, so the schedule and rewards below are reported, not confirmed.

A CGC-graded AU jumbo Doug Ferguson GX card is the top lot in a Landry Pop Auctions sale of items from the Pokémon collection of Doug Ferguson, with an estimate of $30,000 to $50,000. The auction takes place on November 3, 2026, according to reports.

The card is a 2019 Pokémon Black Star Promos TPCi01 Doug Ferguson GX, issued as a TPCi Farewell Gift. It is an 18" x 25" jumbo trading card.

Only five oversized copies were produced. No standard-sized version with the Pokémon card backing was made; a single artist proof with a black backing exists.

Listings call it a coveted Black Star Promo and place it among the scarcest Pokémon employee promos, noting that fewer copies exist than of the 2017 Ishihara GX promo.

The 2005 enchantment Lifegift has reportedly risen from about $7.30 at the start of 2026 to $23.45 by October, according to Wargamer. The outlet ties the climb mainly to Commander decks built around Kwia Vigorbloom.

Lifegift rose gradually to $10 over nine months, then climbed to $23.45 through September and October.

Lifegift is a three-mana enchantment from Betrayers of Kamigawa that has never been reprinted. Whenever a land enters the battlefield under anyone's control, its controller gains 1 life.

Kwia Vigorbloom makes Black Lotus tokens when you gain life, but it triggers only once per turn. That makes life gained on opponents' turns valuable, and Soul Warden and Soul's Attendant are cited as must-haves, with Lifegift as a harder-to-remove alternative.
