Magic: The Gathering's Star Trek set reportedly comes with a bonus sheet of 30 cards, every one a mythic rare. If you have been hunting Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, you will now be looking for Khan instead. Stardates (SDS) has its own set code, separate from the main set (TRK) and the Commander precons (TRC).

The Star Trek set is scheduled for release on November 13, 2026.

Stardates SDS Card List: What Is Reprinted

Every Stardates card is a reprint of an existing Magic card, shown in borderless art inspired by Star Trek characters and events. Most carry a different name, but functionally each one matches the card it reprints.

The sheet has no shared mechanical theme. It leans on flavor, including alternate timelines such as the Kelvin timeline.

Some of the notable pairings, written as Star Trek name and original Magic name:

  • Khan, Engineered Evil is Sheoldred, the Apocalypse
  • Spock, Completely Logical is Bruvac the Grandiloquent
  • Kirk, Alluring Upstart is Sisay, Weatherlight Captain
  • Worf, Regent of Terok Nor is Mogis, God of Slaughter
  • Leonard McCoy, Country Doctor is Bristly Bill, Spine Sower

Spock appears three more times: Cross-Time Captain (Riku of Many Paths), Mirror Malefactor (Prosper, Tome-Bound) and Strangely Human (Stella Lee, Wild Card).

Four lands are on the sheet:

  • Academy on the Bay, which is Minamo, School at Water's Edge
  • Starbase Yorktown, which is Talon Gates of Madara
  • Starfleet HQ, Under Assault, which is Phyrexian Tower
  • Terran Throne Room, which is Shizo, Death's Storehouse

Three cards keep their original names: Flare of Fortitude, Decree of Pain and Hull Breach.

Stardates Pull Rates in Star Trek Boosters

Stardates cards can turn up in Star Trek Play Boosters and Collector Boosters. According to Wizards' collecting guide, the odds are as follows.

  • Play Boosters: about 1 pack in 25 has a Stardates card in place of a common. That is a 4% chance of one non-foil card, never two, and no traditional foil.
  • Collector Boosters: 23.1% for a non-foil and 5% for a traditional foil, 28.1% combined.

Stardates cards will also be in MTG Arena Store Packs, per the same guide.

Bundles, Prerelease and Limited

The cards are legal in Star Trek Draft and Sealed.

Sealed product contents:

  • Regular Star Trek Bundles: nine Play Boosters
  • Beam Me Up Bundles: eight Play Boosters plus one Collector Booster
  • Prerelease Packs: six Play Boosters

TCGKing's take: with a 4% chance per Play Booster, a Stardates card in a Prerelease Pack is a nice bonus, not something to plan around. The Collector Booster in a Beam Me Up Bundle is the one slot with the higher 28.1% combined chance.

Singleton Rules, Legality and Price Check

Being printed on the Stardates sheet does not let you bend singleton rules. A singleton deck cannot run both Bristly Bill, Spine Sower and Leonard McCoy, Country Doctor.

A bonus sheet appearance changes legality only in that set's Limited. Bristly Bill, Spine Sower is Standard-legal via Outlaws of Thunder Junction until it rotates, while Sheoldred, the Apocalypse (Khan, Engineered Evil) is not Standard-legal.

On price, Academy on the Bay (Minamo, School at Water's Edge) ranked #5 among the most expensive Stardates cards when checked on November 1, 2026. Its cheapest existing printing was $56, and the SDS non-foil presale low was around $77. For the price ranking of the whole sheet, see TCGKing's Stardates price check.
