Union Arena Tour 26 Fukuoka: CHAMPIONSHIP26-27 Team Qualifier on December 12

Union Arena CHAMPIONSHIP26-27 Qualifier Dates & Entry

• Application: October 30, 2026 to November 15, 2026, through BANDAI TCG+ only
• Check-in on the day: 8:30 to 9:30
• Region: the qualifier applies Region 1: Japan, so players need their own ID issued there
• A team representative applies first and gets a team ID; teammates enter it in BANDAI TCG+ to finish registration

Team Rules, Swiss Rounds & Knockout Format

Teams are exactly three players, registered as numbers 1, 2, and 3. Decks cannot be changed or swapped, and teammates cannot advise each other during play. Knockout rounds require official or plain sleeves.

Each member plays once, and the team wins with two or more wins. Games are single games with a 30-minute limit; the final has no time limit.

• Swiss: up to 7 rounds, triple elimination style
• A team win (3-0, 2-1, or 2 wins plus 1 double loss) earns 1 point; everything else earns 0
• Ranking tiebreakers: win points, then OP%, then OP2%, then random
• Top 16 teams move to a 4-round single-elimination knockout
• Knockout time-outs: more life cards wins, then more cards left in deck, then one rock-paper-scissors game

A game undecided at the time limit counts as a loss for both players in the Swiss rounds. Usable cards are all non-restricted cards on sale or distributed as of one week before the event. The battle format has been changed.

TCGKing's take: the double-loss rule makes slow play costly, because a time-out gives your team nothing and your opponent's team nothing either. Three-player teams should settle their pacing before round one.

Fukuoka Prizes & JAPAN FINAL Spots

The winner and runner-up both earn a CHAMPIONSHIP26-27 JAPAN FINAL qualification plus commemorative items.

• Winner: one ONE BATTLE CUP winner commemorative item (WINNER ver., choice of one) and the CHAMPIONSHIP26-27 commemorative AP Card -SPECIAL Ver-
• Runner-up and BEST4 (3rd–4th): one ONE BATTLE CUP BEST8 commemorative item
• BEST16 (5th–16th): the AP card only
• Prizes go to each team member
• Participation and survey prizes: a Union Arena ticket (6th set) with serial code

Only residents of Japan can take the right to advance to JAPAN FINAL and GRAND FINAL. If a non-resident wins it, it passes to the next-placed player, though prizes can still be won.

If a player already holds a JAPAN FINAL spot and earns another, it cascades to next-ranked players, starting with those eliminated just below the qualifying cut, ranked by Swiss placement.

Other Fukuoka Events: ONE BATTLE CUP & Matching Battle

The tour also carries side events. ONE BATTLE CUP takes applications from November 6, 2026 to November 22, 2026 through BANDAI TCG+. It uses ONE battle rules, with rare cards obtainable only at official events and commemorative items.

Matching Battle is a super-casual event for beginners, where players collect stamps to get a card they want.

What is still unknown

• How many JAPAN FINAL spots the qualifier gives beyond winner and runner-up
