TCG briefs for October 18, 2026

The Pokémon Card Game MEGA line is getting a Special Deck Set with three ready-to-play 60-card decks: Mega Feraligatr, Mega Dragonite and Mega Gengar. It releases Friday, November 13, 2026 in Japan at a suggested retail price of 5,500 yen, tax included (about $34.81).

The product is titled Pokémon Card Game MEGA Special Deck Set MEGA: Mega Feraligatr, Mega Dragonite, Mega Gengar. An English-language report renders it as the MEGA Special Deck Set ex Mega Feraligatr, Mega Dragonite, Mega Gengar. Each of the three decks holds multiple copies of the same card, and each includes 2 copies of its Mega Evolution card, shown as foil in the official decklists.

Wizards of the Coast has laid out how Reality Fracture rewrites some of Magic's best-known planeswalkers. A legends guide profiles twelve Echoverse versions across six characters: Jace Beleren, Tam, Ajani, Chandra, Garruk, and Liliana. The set's release date is October 2, 2026, worldwide.

The Echoverse is a mirrored version of reality built by Jace Beleren. Because its history differs from the original Multiverse, the fates of familiar legends, and sometimes their appearances, have changed with it.

Reality Fracture's story runs for ten episodes and is already under way. The set also brings new versions of the Lorwyn Five alongside what Wizards calls deep-cut favorite characters.

Competitive Brawl is the only Magic format that changed in Wizards of the Coast's banned and restricted update dated October 12, 2026. Three cards are banned as commanders, nine cards are banned only as commanders, and one more is rebalanced. The changes took effect on October 12, 2026.

The three new commander bans are Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow; Spider-Man 2099; and Light-Paws, Emperor's Voice.

Nine other cards are now banned only as a commander: Ajani, Nacatl Pariah; Nadu, Winged Wisdom; Oko, Thief of Crowns; Old Stickfingers; Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer; Rusko, Clockmaker; Tamiyo, Inquisitive Student; Wrenn and Six; and Tajic, Legion's Valor.

Nashi, Illusion Gadgeteer is also rebalanced. The announcement material provided does not describe what the rebalance does.

YCS Tokyo is reportedly set for November 22nd, 2026, according to the October 2026 edition of Konami's Official Card Game Times general information roundup. The same roundup reportedly lists two promo cards, a Duel Links booster date, and a sweepstakes tied to the Immortal Phoenix release.

No price is given for any of these items.

Besides the YCS Tokyo date of November 22nd, 2026, the roundup reportedly says the Duelist King Cup continues.

Two promo cards are reportedly attached to tournament series. A "Jinzo" promo is tied to Japan Championship 2026, and a "Gaia the Fierce Knight" promo for RUSH DUEL is tied to the "Galaxy Cup" series. How and when either card will be distributed is not announced.

Bandai has announced Gift Collection -ONE PIECE Heroines- [GC-2026] for the One Piece Card Game, a set that pairs two EB-05 booster packs and 70 sleeves with 10 promo cards carrying new illustrations. It is listed at USD $44.99 with a date of November 20, 2026.

The contents list is short and specific:

• Booster Pack [EB-05] x2
• Special Sleeves, 1 type, 70 pieces
• Promotion Card x10, in 10 different types

The 10 promos are described as new illustrations, so each of the 10 types is a different card rather than one card repeated.

The listed date is November 20, 2026, and the listed price is USD $44.99. They are not European retail prices, which are set by distributors and usually differ.
